Female Passenger Transported From Norwegian Gem With Medical Complications

Last evening (January 29, 2015) a woman traveling on the Norwegian Cruise Ship, Gem, was medevaced to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia.

According to a report on the WTKR.com website in Norfolk, the U.S. Coast Guard picked up the female passenger approximately 220 miles southeast of Portsmouth, Virginia.

The medical emergency seems to have occurred due to complications with diabetes.
